Fier is a city located in southwestern Albania. It has a population of approximately 100,000 people. For seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies, Fier is not directly connected to the sea, so it does not have ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts. However, it is situated relatively close to the Adriatic Sea, with the port city of Durres being the nearest major maritime hub.
