Eisenstadt is the capital of the Austrian state of Burgenland. With a population of around 14,000 people, it is a small and charming city. While it is not directly located on the coast, it is close to Lake Neusiedl, which is a popular destination for sailing and other water activities. Eisenstadt also has notable historical sites, including the Esterházy Palace, which was once the residence of the Esterházy family, known for their patronage of classical composer Joseph Haydn.
