The Gap is a suburb in the city of Brisbane, Australia. It has a population of around 4,500 people. Although not directly located on the coast, it is still of interest to seafarers as it is only a short distance from the Port of Brisbane, one of Australia's largest container ports. The port provides services for shipowners and crewing companies, including shipyards and facilities for ship parts production.
