Heist-op-den-Berg is a municipality in the province of Antwerp, Belgium. It has a population of around 43,000 people. Although not directly located on the coast, it is still of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies due to its proximity to the Port of Antwerp, one of the largest ports in Europe. The city itself does not have ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
