Petrich is a city in southwest Bulgaria with a population of around 25,000. Although it doesn't have direct access to the sea, it is located near the Struma River, which is navigable and can be used for transportation of goods. While Petrich doesn't have ports, shipyards or factories producing ship parts, seafarers, shipowners, or crewing companies may find the city interesting for its cultural heritage, including historic landmarks, museums, and beautiful surrounding nature.
