Rio de Contas is a small city located in the state of Bahia, Brazil. It has a population of around 10,000 people. Although it is not directly on the coast, it is still of interest to seafarers and shipowners as it is located near the Atlantic Ocean and has access to nearby ports such as Salvador. The city itself does not have any shipyards or factories producing ship parts.
