Chemainus is a small town located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. It has a population of around 3,900 people. Although not a major port city, Chemainus is of interest to seafarers and shipowners as it is close to the coast and offers access to the Strait of Georgia. The town has a small marina for recreational boating and fishing. It does not have shipyards or factories producing ship parts.
