Madīnat Sittah Uktūbar, also known as Sixth of October City, is a city in Egypt with a population of around 500,000. It is located on the outskirts of Cairo and was established in 1979 as part of a plan to alleviate overcrowding in the capital. Although not directly situated on the coast, it is close to the Mediterranean Sea and offers easy access to Alexandria and other coastal cities. While the city itself does not have ports or shipyards, it serves as a convenient hub for seafarers, shipowners, and crewi
