Sokhumi is the capital of the breakaway region of Abkhazia in Georgia. The city has a population of around 60,000 people. Although not a major seafaring hub, Sokhumi does have a small port that serves as a transportation link for the region. However, there are no significant shipyards or factories producing ship parts in the city.
