“Passenger Ship” certificate required for all
COC II/5 welcome for A/B
“PSCRB” required for A/B and welcome for hotel/galley crew.
“HACCP/Food-Handling” required for hotel/galley crew
Knowledge of Italian language is requested for Hotel crew
WAGES: Italian wages are not fixed but there are many variables linked to fiscal/contribution system.
We can predict an average monthly wage, calculated on 6 months on board in one year (could be 2 contracts of 3 months each, for easy reference).
Leave pay is given with last payslip, so it happens that first payslips are less the the last one, which is higher including the leave pay.
As I said, two joiners with same rank/contract can get different wage according to the personal picture (numbers of children, for example).
The main point is that applicants are well aware about that, and we’re at disposal to clarify any single doubt, with our payrolls colleagues if necessary.
Regarding the contract lenght, 8 to 12 weeks should be fine for now.
Below indicated average wages are calculated according to guaranteed 120 overtime hours. But overtime is changing during the year, as well as extra-works, and the correct calculation must be done just before departure.
