Mahdia is a town in the Potaro-Siparuni region of Guyana. It has a population of around 4,000 people. Although not directly located on the coast, Mahdia can be of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies due to its proximity to the Essequibo River, which is navigable by large vessels. The town does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
