Banjarmasin is the capital city of South Kalimantan province in Indonesia. It has a population of around 720,000 people. Situated on the banks of the Martapura River, Banjarmasin is a major trading hub for goods such as rubber, timber, and coal. It is also known for its floating market, where locals sell various products from their boats. The city has a port called Trisakti which serves as a transportation and cargo hub for seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies.
