Although not directly on the coast, Carrigaline is situated near Cork Harbour, one of the largest natural harbours in the world. This makes it of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies who may be involved in maritime activities in the area. However, Carrigaline itself does not have ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
