Idukki is a district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is known for its hilly terrain, including the Western Ghats, and is home to several wildlife sanctuaries and national parks. While it is not directly located on the coast, it is of interest to seafarers and shipowners due to its proximity to the major ports of Kochi and Tuticorin, as well as its access to inland waterways. The district also has a hydroelectric power project, the Idukki Dam, which is one of the largest arch dams in Asia.
