Katra is a small town located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is famous for being the base camp for the trek to the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi. With a population of around 8,000 people, Katra attracts millions of pilgrims every year. While it doesn't have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts, seafarers and shipowners may visit the nearby city of Jammu, which has a major railway station and a domestic airport for convenient transportation.
