Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) is a city located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. With a population of about 1.2 million people, it is one of the largest cities in the state. Situated at the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, Prayagraj is considered a holy city in Hinduism. Although not directly relevant to seafarers or shipowners, Prayagraj does not have any major ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
