🇮🇶 Al-Hamdaniya, Iraq

Al-Hamdaniya, also known as Qaraqosh, is a city in northern Iraq with an estimated population of around 50,000. It is located near the eastern bank of the Tigris River. While Al-Hamdaniya is not directly connected to the sea, it may be of interest to seafarers, shipowners, or crewing companies involved in the reconstruction and development of Iraq, as it is situated relatively close to the port city of Basra, which is a major hub for shipping and trade in the region.
