Inabe-shi is a city located in the Mie Prefecture of Japan. It has a population of approximately 60,000 people. For seafarers and shipowners, the city is not directly located on the coast, but it is within a reasonable distance of the Ise Bay, which offers access to the Pacific Ocean. While Inabe-shi doesn't have any major ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts, it does have a strong maritime culture and is home to the Mie Prefectural Fisheries High School.
