Tomioka is a city located in the Gunma Prefecture of Japan. With a population of around 50,000 people, it is a relatively small city. While it is not known for its seafaring industry, Tomioka is home to several factories producing ship parts, making it of interest to crewing companies and shipowners. Additionally, the city offers picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and is known for its historic silk mill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
