Dainava, also known as Kaunas, is the second-largest city in Lithuania with a population of around 300,000. Although located inland, it is still of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies due to its proximity to the Nemunas river, which connects to the Baltic Sea. While Dainava doesn't have ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts, it offers a central location and excellent transportation infrastructure, making it a convenient hub for maritime business activities in the region.
