Dalandzadgad is the capital of Mongolia's South Gobi Province. With a population of around 20,000, it serves as a regional center for trade and transportation. While Dalandzadgad is situated far from the coast, it is strategically located along the Trans-Mongolian Railway, making it a key transit point for goods and supplies heading to and from Mongolia's mining industry in the Gobi Desert. The city does not have ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
