Gemeente Nieuwegein is located in the Netherlands. It has a population of around 63,000 people. Although it is not a coastal city, it is situated on the banks of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, which provides access for seafarers and shipowners. Nieuwegein does not have any major ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
