Biratnagar is the second-largest city in Nepal with a population of over 300,000. It is located in the southeastern part of the country and serves as an important commercial and industrial hub. Although it is not a coastal city, it is situated near the Kosi river and has a customs office for trade with India. Seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies may not find direct relevance to their industry in Biratnagar.
