Talara is a city located in the Piura Region of Peru. It has a population of around 100,000 people. The city is of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies as it is home to the Talara Refinery, which is the largest oil refinery in Peru. Talara also has a port, Puerto Pizarro, which serves as a major export terminal for petroleum products.
