Awang is a small city located in the province of Maguindanao, Philippines. It has a population of around 39,000 people. For seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies, there is a port in nearby Polloc that serves as a gateway to the Sulu Sea. Although Awang itself does not have any shipyards or factories producing ship parts, its proximity to the water makes it a convenient location for maritime activities.
