Balangiga is a small coastal town in the Eastern Samar province of the Philippines. It has a population of around 13,000 people. Although it doesn't have any major ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts, it is of interest to seafarers as it is located near the Balangiga Bay, providing opportunities for fishing and small-scale maritime activities. The town is also known for its historical significance, particularly the Balangiga Massacre during the Philippine-American War.
