Espiritu, also known as San Jose, is a coastal city located in the province of Northern Samar, Philippines. It has a population of around 36,000 people. Espiritu is of interest to seafarers as it is home to the San Bernardino Strait, a major shipping route connecting the Philippine Sea to the Samar Sea. The city does not have any notable ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
