Pag-asa is a small island located in the Kalayaan Island Group, Philippines. It has a population of approximately 200 people and is the largest island in the Spratly Islands. For seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies, Pag-asa does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts. However, it serves as an important strategic outpost for the Philippines in the contested South China Sea.
