Malayan Towage and Salvage Corporation (SALVTUG or MTSC) was established in 1974 to provide Philippine and International customers with world-class integrated maritime solutions. SALVTUG commenced operations with three tugboats and four dry cargo and bulk oil barges and as of January 2015, the fleet is composed of thirty-eight (38) multi-tasked tugs ranging from 2600-3000 HP including one (1) 8,000 HP ocean-going salvage tug, one (1) 5600 HP and four (4) 4000-5000 HP tugboats, two (2) specialized crafts, one (1) crew boat, and eleven (11) barges.Today SALVTUG is recognized as the preeminent service provider of marine salvage, harbour tug assistance, ocean towage, oil spill management, and 24/7 marine emergency response in the Philippine territorial waters.Our most recent acquisitions, three 57-ton bollard pull ocean going tugs in early 2013 and 2014 is an evidence of our commitment to a modern and well-maintained fleet.
