Bucharest is the capital and largest city of Romania, with a population of around 2 million people. While not directly located on the coast, it is connected to the Black Sea via the Danube River, making it a key inland hub for seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies. Bucharest is home to the Port of Constanta, one of the largest ports in the region, as well as numerous shipyards and factories producing ship parts and equipment.
