Nerchinsk is a small city located in the Zabaykalsky Krai region of Russia. It has a population of around 15,000 people. Although it is not directly located on the coast, it is of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies due to its proximity to the Trans-Siberian Railway, which provides a vital transportation link between Russia's eastern ports and the rest of the country. The city itself does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
