Khabarovsk is a city in eastern Russia, located on the Amur River near the Chinese border. It has a population of around 600,000 people. For seafarers and shipowners, Khabarovsk is not directly connected to the sea, but its proximity to the Amur River and the Trans-Siberian Railway makes it an important transportation hub for cargo shipping. The city also has a shipyard, Khabarovsk Shipbuilding Plant, which specializes in the construction and repair of river vessels.
