🇸🇩 Sawākin, Sudan

Sawākin is a city located in eastern Sudan, on the Red Sea coast. It has a population of approximately 43,000. Sawākin is known for its historic port, which was once an important hub for trade and maritime activities in the region. Although the port is no longer as active as it once was, it still attracts seafarers and shipowners for its rich maritime history and the opportunity to explore the old town and its ancient coral buildings.
