Pingtung is a city located in southern Taiwan with a population of around 200,000 people. It is known for its beautiful beaches and is a popular destination for tourists. For seafarers, Pingtung has a port called Fangliao Port that handles both cargo and passenger ships. Additionally, there are shipyards in the nearby city of Kaohsiung, which is about an hour's drive from Pingtung.
