Palmyra is an uninhabited island located in the Pacific Ocean, about halfway between Hawaii and American Samoa. It is an unorganized territory of the United States and is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. As an isolated island, Palmyra does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories catering to seafarers, shipowners, or crewing companies.
