Thomas County is located in the state of Georgia, United States. The city of Thomasville is the county seat and has a population of around 18,500. Although not directly on the coast, it is still of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies as it is within a reasonable distance to the Port of Savannah, one of the largest container ports on the East Coast. The city also has a strong manufacturing industry, including factories producing ship parts and equipment.
