Carletonville is a mining town located in the Gauteng province of South Africa. It has a population of approximately 150,000 people. Although it is not directly connected to the sea, it may still be of interest to seafarers as it is home to the Mponeng Gold Mine, one of the deepest and largest gold mines in the world. However, it does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
