Carnarvon is a small town located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. It has a population of around 6,000 people. Although it is not directly situated on the coast, Carnarvon is approximately 300 km away from the closest major port, Saldanha Bay, which can be of interest to seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies. The town itself does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
