Marquard is a small town in the Free State province of South Africa. It has a population of around 6,000 people. While Marquard is not directly on the coast, it is located about 200 kilometers from the Port of Durban, which is the busiest port in South Africa and a major hub for seafarers, shipowners, and crewing companies. Marquard itself does not have any ports, shipyards, or factories producing ship parts.
